Volgaburmash - Roller Bits

Roller Bits - A Line / TCI Bits

Low speed rock bits (up to 100rpm) are designed for rotary drilling or for drilling with down hole hydraulic motors.

The bearings are open.  The type "journal bearing-ball-journal bearing".

This type of bearing is used in small diameter bits (up to 93mm)

Roller Bits - V Line / TCI Bits

High speed rock bits (up to 600 rpm) are designed for turbo drilling.  Roller bearing types are "roller-ball-thrust-shoulder-thrust button".  Thrust shoulder surface is applied with hard alloy.

The cutting structure of this line bits is presented by steel teeth and tungsten carbide inserts.  For additional bit protection while down hole and horizontal drilling of abrasive formations, shirttails are protected by tungsten carbide inserts.

Shirttails and leg entering edges are applied with hard grain alloy.

Roller Bits - N Line / TCI Bits

Medium speed rock bits (up to 300 rpm) are used to drill wells with slow speed turbines, down hole hydraulic motors and rotors.

Open bearing type: roller-ballthrust journal bearing-radial journal bearing-thrust journal.  Bearing life is greatly extended due to hardfacing of radial and thrust journal bearing surfaces with wear-resistant hard alloy.

Roller Bits - VU Line / TCI Bits

Medium speed rock bits (up to 300 rpm) are designed for drilling of wells with down hole hydraulic motors and rotors.

Bit bearings are sealed by radial heat and oil resistant O-ring seals.  The bearing type: roller-ball-thrust journal bearing-roller.

Thrust shoulder surface is hard faced with hard, wear-reisitant alby.  The patented heat-resistant lubricant "Dolotol-NU" greatly reduces friction coeffcient in the bearing, its overheat and wear during the operation.

Roller Bits - AU Line / TCI Bits

Low-speed rock bits (up to 110 rpm) are designed for drilling of wells with down hole hydraulic motors and rotors.

The bits have oil filled bearings, sealed by radial heat and oil-resistant rubber O-rings.  The bearing type: radial journal bearing-ball-thrust journal bearing-radial journal bearing-thrust journal.

Outer journal bearing has a bushing made of anti-friction wear-resistant material.  The bushing is pressed into the cavity of the cone.  The inner cavity of the cone on all the surfaces of friction bearing pairs has anti-friction silver layer.

In addition to these anti-friction properties, the silver layer insures rapid heat removal out of load areas.

The surfaces of all friction bearings on the journal are hard faced.  The cavity of the bearing is filled with the patented grease "Dolotol-AU", which greatly reduces friction coefficient in the bearing, its overheat and wear.

Roller Bits - AUP Line / Small Diameter Bits

The bits are specially designed for drilling of small diameter slant and horizontal wells (up to 172mm).

"AUP" line low speed bits (up to 140 rpm) are designed for drilling with down hole hydraulic motors.

The bits have oil filled bearings sealed by radial heat and oil-resistant rubber O-rings.  The bearing type: journal bearingball-thrust journal bearing-radial journal bearing.  All friction bearings are applied with hard alloy.

Outer journal bearing has a bushing made of ofanti-friction wear-resistant material.  The bushing is pressed into the cavity of the cone.  The inner cavity of the cone on all the surfaces of friction bearing pairs has anti-friction silver layer.

Roller Bits - AUL Line / TCI Bits

Low-speed drill bits (up to 180 rpm) are specially designed for drilling of wells with down hole hydraulic motors.

Bit bearings are sealed by radial heat and oil-resistant rubber O-rings.  The bearing type: radial journal bearing-ball-thrust journal bearing-radial journal bearing.

Outer journal bearing is equipped with a split floating bushing, made of anti-friction wear-resistant material.  Thrust journal bearing is equipped with a thrust floating washer, made of the same material as the bushing.  Both the bushing and the washer are silver plated along all their surfaces.  The inner cavity of the cone on all the surfaces of thrust journal bearing and radial journal bearing has anti-friction silver layer.

The surfaces of all friction bearings on the journal are hard faced.
